A quick and easy one tonight–Upper Body, which just feels weird–not doing lower in the same session.
Well, I should say that it was quick, but not “easy.” My strength is way down, and my conditioning is also way down. I’ve been failing to include the necessary exercises to help promote my body’s own form of balance from all the darn pulling from the floor, including the chin-up. Weak there for sure. But there’s one thing I can always count on–the body bounces back quickly.
A. Military Press: 135lbs/5, 150lbs/5, 170lbs/5; 3 mins rest, give or take. RPE: 7
B. KB Double Press: 2x24kg/10 x4 sets; 60s rest. RPE: 8-9. Couldn’t have done a 5th set of 10. That’s a new goal. (Used to be able to do that easy…)
Rest 20 mins–drive home to chin up bar and make phone calls…
C. Chins, bodyweight: 7,6,5,4,4; 60s rest. WAY harder than it should be. Goal: 5×10 w/ 60s rest.
I must be getting lazy in my old age, because my total training time was less than 30 minutes and I loved it. I no longer feel like I have the time to devote to training–as much as I’d like to many days–so we’ll see how then next 30 days or so work.
